Spreadsheet import
Some rows were skipped
CryoIndex stores valid rows and offers the refused rows separately with a reason beside each one.
- Choose Save the N skipped rows to fix.
- Read the reason column and correct each row in a spreadsheet editor.
- Import only that corrected file; do not re-import the original file.
- Review the new preview before confirming.
Common reasons a row is skipped
- The template’s example row is still present. It is documentation and is never imported as a vial.
- The cell type is blank or was removed from the import review.
- A multi-dewar lab has not identified the destination, or the named dewar, cane or box does not exist.
- The grid coordinate cannot be read or falls outside that box’s configured rows and columns.
- The position is already occupied in the inventory or was claimed by an earlier accepted row in the same file.
- The barcode is already stored or duplicates an earlier accepted row in the file.
- Date frozen cannot be read as YYYY-MM-DD, is impossible, or is later than today. A blank date is accepted as unknown.
- A value is longer than the app’s database field can safely store.
- The inventory changed after preview and a position or barcode became unavailable before the atomic write began.
