Product scope

Clear limits are part of a trustworthy tool.

CryoIndex is intentionally an offline cryogenic inventory, not a general laboratory platform. These boundaries describe the current release.

No cloud inventory or multi-device sync

CryoIndex stores the working database on one tablet. It does not keep a server copy or merge concurrent inventories from several devices.

No temperature monitoring

Liquid-nitrogen fills are records entered by the lab. CryoIndex does not connect to level probes, temperature sensors, alarms or building systems.

No automatic LIMS integration

Import and export use files the lab deliberately reviews. CryoIndex does not currently connect to institutional LIMS, ELN or identity systems.

No compliance certification

Audit & QA reports organize the app’s records. They do not certify GLP, GMP, ISO, FDA or institutional compliance.

No RFID or direct label printing in the current release

Those workflows depend on specific readers, printers, labels and laboratory procedures and remain under consideration.

No cryogenic-freezer hierarchy yet

The current storage model is a liquid-nitrogen dewar with canes, boxes and vial positions. Freezer, rack, tower and shelf layouts are on the roadmap.

No replacement for physical practice

CryoIndex does not replace labels, laboratory SOPs, trained handling, independent checks or an external backup schedule.
