System requirements
Camera scanning, hardware scanners and network access are optional. The Android tablet, landscape layout and supported physical hierarchy are not.

CryoIndex runs in landscape. Portrait and phone-sized layouts are not supported.
Core inventory work needs neither an internet connection nor a CryoIndex account. Google Play access is needed to install through Play and to purchase or restore CryoIndex Plus.
Optional. A tablet without a camera can use manual barcode entry or a compatible hardware scanner.
Optional. Use a USB or Bluetooth HID/keyboard-wedge scanner that can send the printed value literally and finish with Enter.
The current release models liquid-nitrogen dewars arranged as canes, boxes and grid positions. Each box can have lettered or numbered axes.
Up to 40 canes per dewar, 40 boxes per cane and a 26×26 grid per box.
The lab needs an approved destination outside the tablet—such as removable media or institutional storage—for protection against loss or device failure.
