Backup and replacement tablets

Moving to a new tablet

Install CryoIndex on the replacement tablet and restore the newest complete backup. Restoring replaces the new tablet’s inventory; it does not modify the old tablet.

1. Create one final backup from the old tablet if it is available.
2. Install an equal or newer CryoIndex version on the replacement tablet.
3. Open Settings → Data → Back up or restore → Restore from a backup, then select the .cix-backup file.
4. Read the validation summary and confirm the restore.
5. If the lab had CryoIndex Plus, the complete backup carries that unlock to the replacement tablet.
6. Check several known vials, users and dewar layouts before putting the tablet into service.
