Backup and replacement tablets

Where should backups be saved?

Keep a current backup somewhere that survives the tablet being lost, damaged or reset.

1. Open Settings → Data → Back up or restore, then choose Save a copy.
2. Choose a USB drive, removable card, institution-approved shared drive or another destination outside the tablet’s internal storage.
3. Confirm that the file appears at the destination and is not only listed in the tablet’s Downloads folder.
4. Repeat on the schedule shown by the dashboard reminder.
