Rearranging boxes on a cane
Move the box as a unit so every vial retains its position within the box and its existing history.
- Open the box in CryoIndex.
- Open the top-corner menu and choose Move this box.
- Select the destination or the box to swap with.
- Make the matching physical move and confirm the new cane and box location.
What CryoIndex preserves
- Every vial keeps its position inside the box and its existing history.
- Moving to an occupied box label swaps the two boxes; moving to an empty label leaves the old label empty.
- The destination field can use the box label the lab reads physically, including a custom label.
- If the move crosses the dewar’s configured liquid- and vapor-phase boundary, the app shows that change before confirmation.
