Telling the app how our dewar is arranged
Each dewar can describe its canes, boxes, grid dimensions and position labels.
- Open Settings → Storage, then choose Dewar layout.
- Set the number of canes and boxes on each cane.
- Set the rows and columns in a box and choose lettered or numbered axes.
- Review the sample position label before applying the layout.
Limits and unusual racks
- A dewar can contain up to 40 canes with up to 40 boxes on each cane.
- A box can use up to 26 rows and 26 columns, with lettered or numbered row and column axes.
- For a custom box label, configure the physical capacity first, open that box, then use Move this box and enter the label the lab uses.
- CryoIndex refuses a count change when custom or noncontiguous labels make it impossible to know which physical boxes should be created or retired. Reconcile the labels before resizing.
